All oils and butters in the Cheesecake, Black Cherry and Natural lip balm are organic, and cooking ingredients.  The cacoa butter in the Naturally Chocolate lip balm is organic, and a luxury baking ingredient.  
 
The Naturally Chocolate smells like chocolate naturally as it is made from organic cacoa butter - no additional flavors added!  All other 'flavors' are made from candy flavorings used in baking - which are food-grade!  Many other lip balm producers use lip balm flavor oils, which is hard to tell if they are FDA approved or food grade, as the vendors don't provide that information.
