Just Iowa Honey Bees
'Do the Zoo'!
Two of our bee colonies are working at the zoo this summer! Named aptly after Greek and Roman goddesses, Anthea (goddess of flowery wreaths) and Flora (goddess of flowers and spring), the colonies were swarms caught earlier this spring. We aren't expecting a ton of honey from the bees as a result of originating from a swarm, but you can see both colonies are gathering honey from within a three mile radius of the zoo!
