What makes our honey different?  Hyper-local, bottled by apiary
Our honey is harvested in small batches from five apiaries across central Iowa. Each apiary has its own unique mix of trees, wildflowers, and native plants within the bees' three-mile foraging range, creating distinctive flavors that reflect the landscape surrounding each hive.
 
Because every season is different, each year's honey tells a slightly different story. Rainfall, temperatures, bloom timing, and the flowers available all influence the character of every harvest.
 
Wildflower Honey
Our Wildflower Honey is polyfloral, meaning the bees collected nectar from many different blossoms. Depending on the season and apiary, it may include nectar from wildflowers, clover, Black Locust, Linden, and many other blooming plants, creating a rich, well-balanced honey unique to that harvest.
 
Black Locust Honey
Our Black Locust Honey is not monofloral. During the bloom period, Black Locust is the primary nectar source, while small amounts of nectar from other blossoms naturally become part of the harvest. This premium honey is prized for its luminous color, delicate sweetness, and subtle vanilla notes.
 
Linden (Basswood) Honey
Our Linden Honey is also not monofloral. During the short bloom period, Linden trees provide the primary nectar source, complemented by smaller amounts of nectar from nearby flowering plants. Highly sought after because abundant Linden harvests are never guaranteed, this honey offers a pleasantly fruity flavor with gentle citrus and mint notes that make it one of Iowa's most distinctive seasonal honeys.
